The sun may not be out as brightly as it was last weekend but many of Melbourne’s Little Guys will still be up bright and early setting up their stalls full of handmade and homegrown goodies to showcase to Melbourne Market goers this weekend.
There are over 120 markets being held right across Melbourne this weekend giving us all the opportunity to pick up some fantastic handmade gifts and wares for any upcoming birthdays or occasions (or for ourselves) as well as stock our pantries with fresh fruit, veggies and local produce.
The 4th Saturday of the month brings us many of our favourite unique markets full of some truly special and beautiful handmade items from Melbourne’s best artisans and talent. Our local farmers are also setting up their stalls this Saturday with almost 30 markets across Melbourne full of their freshly grown produce, fruit, veg, preserves, meats and homemade deliciousness that you won’t find in a general grocery store!
The Little Treasures Indoor Market at Lancefield, Preston Artist Market, Sisters’ Market @ Melbourne Central & Little Sparrow Market at Malvern Town Hall are ones not to be missed for a handmade gift for you or someone special. Across the 4 markets, there will be hundred’s of Little Guys set up with everything from clothing, artwork, ceramics, stationary, candles, homewares, quilts and anything else you could imagine.
If you’re a foodie and looking for somewhere to catch up with family or friends, the European Night Market at Madame Brussels Lane, Winter Night Market at Queen Victoria Market, Batman Night Market and Hank Marvin Market @ Alma Park East will be the perfect venue for any catch up and great excuse to indulge in some yummy food from all over the world.
This Sunday brings us over 50 Art & craft markets as well as our favourite Trash N Treasure markets for picking up a bargain.
If you’re in the South East head down to Kymmy’s Family Market at Cranbourne Town Hall. Over 40 stalls with primarily locally handmade items covering everything from baby items, jewellery, clothing and candles. There will also be a sausage sizzle, food vans, a petting zoo, velcro wall and jumping castle for the kids! Entry is free.
Plenty happening in Melbourne CBD with the Docklands Sunday Market, European Night Market @ Madame Brussels Lane, Sisters’ Market @ Melbourne Central, Winter Night Market at Queen Victoria Market and Sunday Market at The Arts Centre all taking place.
The 4th Sunday of the month also brings us some of the best farmers markets to stock our fridges and pantry’s with including the Kinglake Produce & Artisan Market, Yarra Glen Railway Station Farmers’ Market, Marysville Farmers’ Market, Yarrawonga Farmers’ Market and Williamstown Farmers’ Market.
